These are the By-Laws followed by our Chapter...
Section I Chapter Name.
The name of this chapter shall be the Great Lakes Chapter, Inc.
Section II Chapter Purpose.
The purpose of the Great Lakes Chapter, Inc shall be to seek out antique, special interest motorcycles and to promote preservation and restoration of those motorcycles. The Great Lakes Chapter shall abide by the rules and regulations of the AMCA.
Section III Chapter Membership.
All Great Lakes Chapter members are required to be a member of the AMCA.
Section IV Chapter Officers.
The Great Lakes Chapter shall have a board consisting of: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and two Directors. Officers shall be elected for a one-year term and may serve consecutive terms. In the event a Board Member cannot complete a term, the remaining Board Members will select a replacement to complete the term.
Section V Chapter Finances.
The Chapter shall be operated as a nonprofit organization. Annual dues are ten dollars and shall be due by April 15th of each year. Spouse members are not required to pay dues. Dues may be revised by a majority vote of members.
Section VI Chapter Meetings.
A general business meeting for the election of officers and to schedule Chapter activities for the following year shall be held yearly at a location and specific time selected by current Chapter officers. Additional meetings may be called as necessary.
Section VII Chapter Publications.
The Chapter publication shall be published periodically as needed.
Section VIII Chapter Amendments.
Amendments to these by-laws may be made at the annual general business meeting. Any member in good standing may submit a proposed amendment so long as the amendment is consistent with the policies and by-laws of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. Proposed amendments will be adopted by a simple majority of members present at the annual general business meeting.
